Program Overview

Atlantic Canada's Bilingual Business Hub

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) Business Immigration Stream is managed by Opportunities NB (ONB). It targets experienced business owners and managers who will establish, purchase, or join a New Brunswick business as an active owner-manager.

New Brunswick is Canada's only officially bilingual province (English and French), providing a unique commercial advantage. Its proximity to Maine (USA) and the Port of Halifax enables efficient North American and international trade.

Key Advantage: New Brunswick has one of the lowest commercial real estate costs in Canada — significantly lower operating costs than central Canada.

Eligible sectors include:

  • Manufacturing and production
  • Technology and IT services
  • Export-oriented businesses
  • Agri-food and fisheries
  • Tourism and hospitality
